TweenyThanks for your feedback f+d+k, I really appreciate it! This tune has been on my hard drive for three years or so collecting dust, over 50 recorded patterns but still no complete track :O

I really need to visit here more often
It's normally impossible to change a plugin effect's preset/program or send it note data. Through the use of effect aliasing though, these things are possible. https://youtu.be/5Li9VXyc1O8

What u do if ur phrases are in F# minor for example. Do you create your phrases from C note and then insert F# to the pattern or is there more musically appropriate way how to do this? I didn't find comfortable way how to design my phrases still...
Jan 23 2017 19:27
TheBellowsI'd say it depends on the situation. If you for instance have a lot of varieties of one phrase it may make sense to assign each to its own key for easy access.
Jan 24 2017 17:56
Akizok so you should turn off the scale selection in the instrument during the phrase design because otherwise notes are transposed and not previewed in the white keys (if the c# minor is selected for example). I think that notes shouldnt be transposed if you are not in the pattern but phrase editor because you can insert any note here

Hi everone which plugin do you use the most for making dubstep basses inside Renoise
TheBellowsSome from the download section:
Jan 23 2017 16:57
Akizhelm (mainly aggresive reesy sounds), obxd (midrange dreamy parts), renoise native (crazy modulation but not easy create the sound), tal-noisemaker (all-above minus complexity and details). But i am Linux right now and i dont make dubstep

RashinamuRenoise itself: no seriously look at the 'basics' folder under instruments tab in the instruments selector, select basic_saw_C1 (or of that name), pitch it up 2 octaves, make an lfo Doofer that automates an EQ in the FX panel or on the instruments editor, put in any distortion (fold, razor, etc), and add a cabinet filter and any other fx you want. It's really that simple to use the built-in resources.

The secret of the lesser joy of math is...having a computer do all the tedious stuff for you for your benefit. The higher joy is for nerds...MAKING a computer do all that magic stuff for you, and it is addicting to feel like a master. Poor souls who are unable to have any benefit at all, or even understand at least a little about it...
toblerponedid you discover a calculator?
Jan 19 2017 11:57
OopsIFlyI normally try to dream about the one that calculates me all the time, must be some groovy stuff that I don't understand, but yes, a calculator can be useful sometimes, and a cpu is just a demon speed maniac operating a calculator on huge piles of sqared paper and with electric pens writing at will...

danoiseNope. Safari sensibly refuses to interpret "ipb" as a sound file - but you're right, it annoys me too and can probably be worked around :)
