I managed to max out Renoises 255 sample limit sampling all the waveforms from the JV Vintage Synt expansion card, which was perfect because that's exacly how many waveforms are on the card! :D

Oh man, I'd love to get your sampled JV Vintage Exp Card! I actually *have* the JV Vintage Synth in rack format, but what I lack is the patience you obviously have! :) Please let us know if you upload these, thanks!

I'm done editing them, but I'm not sure how to get them out to people. I think came out really well. I have ones that are just the samples I recorded and others that are for the most part just the loop points so that it makes it easier to edit. Sort of just plug and play. Put them into your favorite sampler and put loop points at the beginning and end and go.

It's on Showtime, not HBO. You can get an add-on to Hulu or Amazon Prime for about $7 or something to add showtime.

Robbie is Swedish, so he has to view it on HBO Nordic, as Showtime doesn't have a service here. You could of course hassle with a VPN, maybe it works using the browser Opera, it's got free VPN.

Cubases rewire implementation is absolute crap. Other than that I love this program. Just doesn't seem to play nice with Renoise. :(

    Workflow :

    - start Renoise
    - prepare Instruments (Phrases/FX/Mod-Chains)
    - save Instruments
    - open DAW
    - open Redux-Track
    - use Instruments

But most of the time Renoise is sufficient atm.

Oh, if your recording device supports it, look into plug-in binaural mics. The ones you can put in your own ears. Excellent for stealth recording, it will look like headphones while they are actually mics (http://www.soundman.de/).

Circuit just keeps getting better. Now you can upload your own Samples, and much more. I can't sing it's praises enough. Hands down, one of the best grooveboxes out at the moment in this price range. http://createdigitalmusic.com/2016/04/make-novation-circuit-your-own-with-updates-browser-tools/

I've recently rediscovered my Roland XP-60. This thing is way deeper than I gave it credit for. And I just discovered I can sequence 16 patches from Renoise! SO SICK! I've been making so many weird ass sounds out of this thing. Totally underrated. It's basically JV 1080 with a sequencer! :D

I agree. JV is great stuff. But what will your mix workflow be when sequencing multichannel in the XP-60, only having one output?

The mix isn't great, not going to lie. But, I only have a 4 channel mixer anyways. For actually recording I can solo the tracks I want once I want to do a mix down.

There isn't anything I really don't like in Ableton, I actually love it. It's just that I know Renoise well and I work faster in it. What I love about Renoise is that I can just sort of experiment and see what will happen. There's a lot of freedom in it. I love splicing up drum parts and doing wacky things. I can't seem to do the things I want in Ableton. I'm never surprised by it's behavior in the way I am with Renoise. But I LOVE Max for Live and I desperately wa...
