HISTORY
0xVA-3FM 1.6 (06/12/2002):
Version 1.5's automation was completely f****ed due to a compiler error. Now fully fixed;
This version will be the last 1.x version of 0xVA-3FM, from now on I'll be developing for 0xVA-3FM 2 only.

0xVA-3FM 1.5 (03/12/2002):
The stereo output of version 1.4 was compiled as two seperate mono outputs, now 0xVA-3FM has one mono output only (most useful);
Revamped the interface completely (smaller on screen keyboard/scope, new texture on background, smaller Pitch readouts);
Known bug (not fixed yet!): on-screen playing keyboard only works for MIDI Channel 1 (or All).

0xVA-3FM 1.4 (02/12/2002):
Replaced the 4 mono outputs with one stereo output (nobody seemed to use the 4 FM layers anyways);
Added continuous wave view in scope;
On screen keyboard now connected to MIDI Out.
Known bug (not fixed yet!): on-screen playing keyboard only works for MIDI Channel 1 (or All).

0xVA-3FM 1.3 (14/11/2002):
Big change! 4 mono outputs are now occupied by each oscillator (only makes a difference for multi-out host applications):
- Output 1: Osc + Filter Output (influenced by all three FM oscillators + Filter);
- Output 2: FM1 Output (influenced by FM2 & FM3 oscillators, no Filter);
- Output 3: FM2 Output (influenced by FM3 oscillator only, no Filter);
- Output 4: FM3 Output (influenced by nothing, thus a pure waveform without FM/Filter) ;
Added Velocity reading;
Added correct tooltip messages.
Known bug (not fixed yet!): on-screen playing keyboard only works for MIDI Channel 1 (or All).

0xVA-3FM 1.2 (13/11/2002):
Added MIDI Channel selector button;
Enhanced graphical user interface;
Known bug (not fixed yet!): on-screen playing keyboard only works for MIDI Channel 1 (or All).

0xVA-3FM 1.1 (12/11/2002):
Added glide (portamento) parameter;
Added monophony option button;
Removed factory presets (this synth is way too easy to control to use presets, people!) ;
Minor (invisible) bugfixes, mostly performance/perfection related.

0xVA-3FM 1.0 (06/11/2002):
Initial release.

DESCRIPTION
0xVA-3FM is a virtual analog (the numbers on the scope represent voltage amounts) synthesizer with 3 FM oscillators (with LFO's on the amplification of each),8 note polyphony and mono output. Difference with other FM synthesizers is the double range on the FM amplification parameter, which means you can create very high/sharp and low/wobbly sounding waves. Notice the small "T" button in the corner of the on-screen playing keyboard which puts it to Trigger Mode (Note On/Off).
0xVA-3FM is a VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugin, which means you can use it in applications such as Cubase SX/SL/VST, FruityLoops, Orion, Massiva, Renoise, ... In other words every VST compatible host application.

INSTALLATION
0xVA-3FM should be installed by copying 0xVA-3FM.dll to your host application's VST plugins directory (most of the times something like C:\Program Files\VstPlugins). Once the plugin has been copied, open/restart/refresh your host application and you should find 0xVA-3FM between the list of VST instruments (F11 in Cubase SX). If you have used a previous version of 0xVA-3FM for a music track, you should make a backup of that previous version (just rename the previous version in you VstPlugins directory, for example. "0xVA-3FM.dll" to "Old_0xVA-3FM.dll"), because not all parameters might be compatible.

FUTURE
0xVA-3FM 2.0 will be a major step forward, adding LFO's to each audible parameter (Pitch, Amp, ADSR, ...), synchronization options and a better looking user interface for your pleasure. Also more plugin versions will be included (multi-channel/output and more/less polyphony).

CONTACT
0xVA-3FM is not very hard to use, but if you have questions (or suggestions for future releases), don't hesitate to send an e-mail to karelbassez@hotmail.com.

Why not have some VSTi's and effects "official" for Renoise, if you know what I mean? Like add a link on the download page for the free vst's Renoise support (both via software and cuz they're c00l).. B)

mhh, this one does not work too well with renoise ... you cant type in values, which means that if you screwed f.e. the pitch up you can only start over since you never reach 0 again, sometimes note-offs get ignored and the oscillator window is pretty useless.

We can have friends now? AWESOME!

So I am back. Thank comiq, xerxes and keith303 for that.

well, i guess it because the synth seems done with synthedit (vst creator without coding)... so, synthedit's output dll are not so clean as original c++...
