1.9 manuals have been officially updated on the tutorials site.
The Beta wiki is no longer available.
Thanks for all the support, reports of any new quirks that are noticed are ofcourse always welcome.

Vince.

The current manual updates have been uploaded again:
http://tutorials.renoise.com/

There is no off-line edition of the 1.9 version yet, the 1.8 offline edition has been updated though and can be downloaded from http://tutorials.renoise.com/
Feedback is desired, specially for parts that i have forgotten to update and do not match the current situation or if you find an old image that is not correct anymore or other mistakes...

Providing links and parts of the paragraph in question would help me out a lot.

Thanks in advance.

The page describing the mixer has an error
http://wiki.renoise....n=Renoise.Mixer

It says that init settings are used for resetting midi assignments. This is not true, it is used for initializing the device parameters (reset of midi assignment is done by rightclicking the device in the DSP lane)

Well, the whole word "reset" is not being mentioned anywhere on that page, but i assume you mean the word "remove".

"Init Settings" or "Init parameters" remove the midi assignments for the current selected (device on the) track and this part is being described in the paragraph where midi-mapping is defined. Init settings or init parameters are both applied in the same manner, but in the mixer, you can't select the pre- or post master device.

I've made a few changes to make it more clear what devices are involved when using that option and also changed the word "parameters" into mappings because that is the context of that paragraph.

Also automation applying the LFO trick on the post-master device does not work anymore, this information has also been removed.

Thanks for the indirect lead though.

Even though it's kinda specific, i think it would be handy to explain the LFO reset command in more detail like dblue did in this thread. I've personally overlooked this myself too.

I actually wanted to create some YouTube live tutorial for this thing.
But ofcourse the x6yy should be in the manual.

Hi vV,
I find a bit thing.

About the explanation of the *Velocity Device;
I feel it's better to add a explanation about the velocity from master MIDI keyboard. (not only the velocity values of the pattern editor)

And I have a question to vV or Taktik.
About Phaser's parameters "Ceiling" and "Floor";
I feel these param names are opposite,
aka, "Ceiling" should be hi value and "Floor" should be low value... maybe stupid question.
Are these param names correct as they are?

At the bottom of the site there is a link that says "Complete Site Survey". I guess that's a dynamic print version which you could save as one big file.

Hi,

Now I almost finish updating japanese tutorial for 1.9. :)
But I still cannot have enough confidence about the unique new device "Gate-2".

I tried to make the explanation image.
But I still cannot understand the "Duck mode" well...

Posted Image

Could anyone draw the signal envelope when using Duck mode in this image? (OK with free hand line. Black is dry sound and blue is gated sound. )

And also, totally this image is right?
Please tell me if something wrong.

[EDIT]
Updated the image. Thanks. :)

Currently that is the way how i assemble the offline edition as well, i use httrack to download the site and update it regulary.
It's a trick you could apply to update your local offline edition, though you should set httrack not to download more than one page at a time else the anti-leech policy of the apache server would cut your downloads (only one stream per ipadres is allowed)

I know I'm a bit late about this, but in my opinion the manual should warn the user more clearly about the whole keyboard focus topic; some days ago, an user has made some bug reports regarding keyboard shorctus not working, and I was unable to point him at a specific manual page regarding this topic.
my specs:
cpu:Intel Core2 Quad Q9550 (4x2.83Ghz, FSB 1333Mhz)
os:Win7 Home Premium 64bit - OSX 10.9.1 64bit
audio: M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 PCI

Unschemed, hypertechnical tracked music. Sounding different since 1993.

The current edition on my home pc is updated, i will update the whole manual today or tomorrow.
Including the offline html pages.

The current manual updates have been uploaded again:
http://wiki.renoise.com/wiki/index.php

This link returns a 404 error at the moment.

I got to the manual via the second link, and it looks great. Just read the section on the Sample Editor and learnt a few things I didn't know. Thanks for your hard work! :)

Cheers,

Malcolm.

Oh, snap ....
But I'm inclined to agree with splajn. Cultural differences are easy to forget sometimes, and "spliffs" are a sensitive subject in many places.

I never inserted that line, i don't remember who changed it and why. But the page is editable by anyone who wants to add a song that demonstrates a good example.

I removed the line.
