As usual at the backstage for registered users:
https://backstage.renoise.com

Or at the Renoise download page for the Demo versions:
http://www.renoise.c...wnload/renoise/

What's new in RC2?
Bugfixes: all bugs that got fixed for this build are now marked with [fixed rc2] and closed. As usual: If a bug is NOT fixed, open a new topic for it please and add a link to the old report.

There is a new option in the MIDI instruments settings, to specify if Renoise should apply latency for an external MIDI instrument or not. This fixes the problem, that synths played back via jack over MIDI get out of sync.

What do the two options do:

"Softsynth": Does not apply any extra latency to the played back MIDI. This is what you want when sending MIDI to Synths which are also running over Jack.

"ext. MIDI": Sends out MIDI delayed by the audio latency, and some other timing corrections which are only needed when playing "real" external MIDI instruments

Unfortunately Renoise can not find out automatically how you use the MIDI ports (what exactly they control at the end), so you have to choose the new mode manually. "Softsynth" is the default on Linux.

1.9.1 Final
If the reported bugs from RC1 are fixed (please give us feedback if not), I am just waiting for feedback of the remaining [???] threads. Would be great if you could give us some feedback about those. If no other urgent problems remain, we should now finally go on with the final release. It was quite calm here in the last weeks, which is hopefully a good sign (means that all major problems are solved).

This 1.9.1 final for Linux is now available at the backstage & Renoise download page. The real release with news(letter) and stuff will follow tomorrow.

Would be great if you all could give the final versions a try till tomorrow, so that we know that everything is well...

Please note that only the Linux versions have been updated. The 1.9.1 builds for Mac and Windows have not been updated (they are final since a long while now).
