Stupid question regarding BPM

hi!

i am a little embarrased to ask this, but oh well:
since you have two tempo parameters in a tracker (BPM and speed), what speed setting is correct for BPM to be authentic? also, lets say i make a track using speed 4, how do i calculate BPM for the track in a simple way?

does this make sense to anyone??

klaus

xerxes, it is really a shame to read this from you :)

as it was said in a [similar thread](http:// this-link-is-no-more-valid?act=ST&f=6&t=1884), if you consider a beat as a serie of 4 rows, then you have to refer to speed 6.

to get the BPM value for any other speed:
realBPM / BPM = 6 / speed

this for example means that passing
from 125BPM at speed 6
to 125BPM at speed 3
would result in 250BPM (= 1000 rows per minute)

hehe, thanks m8 :)

i know i should have known this, but really… i never cared about which BPM my music went in. i still dont, i was just curious.
