* All reported bugs are fixed
* VSTi (VST Instruments) added:
Easy to use: a VSTi exactly works how you know it from the CSynth, which is
kicked out now. You can play the instrument individually on every track and
send MIDI controllers to it like you do it for MIDI instruments. Put the
VSTi *.DLL-s into your VST directory and they will appear in the
"VstInstruments" section in "Instrument Properties" and !not! in the Track
DSP's VST list like the VST Effects.
* User definable VST path:
Adjustable in the Configs/Misc tab. The default path is the old
DspPlugins/VstPlugIns path, so you don't have to change it when you are
upgrading from a RC version. (folder is scanned recursively for plugins)
* MIDI Instruments support now the retrigger (0e0x) and delay (0d0x)
* Space toggles Edit Mode again:
(many users requested this, so we have switched it back to FT2 mode
* Instrument Envelopes support Sustain and Volume fadeout
* All markers (loop/sustain) can be adjusted by dragging with mouse
* Much, Much better FastTracker2 XM and XI support because of sustain
* A clock for late night tracking!
* Beveled (amount is adjustable - from flat to fully beveled) GUI/buttons
* Small speed improvements in the player and GUI engine
* Faster volume and pan ramping
* And tons of other small improvements! If you used RC2 you'll find them
The help file is not yet updated to match this version.
However, updated help file is coming few days after the release and will be
offered as separate download. After help is updated whole archive will be
repacked with updated help files. Feel free to ask any questions on Renoise
forum or read them regularly for FAQ's.
* New keyboard shortcuts:
-> Hold down left Shift while entering notes to auto-create new note rows
and add them horizontal into the current Track
-> Grave ^ toggles key jazz on/off
-> Left shift + Insert/Delete inserts/deletes new note rows

blast from the past
so, this is where the amazing renoise tracker began? too bad i wasn't there, I didn't download till 2.1, and registered at 2.5. Look at 2.6! Look how this tracker has evolved! From some software thingy that people gawk at for VSTi support to scripting! W O W!
