Silent Strangers - The Love Affair of Man and Machine (Synthesizer Quartet and Solo Piano)
I used Renoise as a live improvisational tool, allowing me to capture, re-edit, and re-edit some more in post production. Had to do some major sample reduction to get this down below 8mb.

Yes, it sounds very great indeed, but without the xrns, it is hard to see if it is netbook worthy.... :)

Nice stuff. Too bad it's drowned in reverb :(

YES, the compo site worked!

Interesting piece. But I have noticed some technical pecularities:

1) There are some samples with a lot of silence. Up to 1 minute. But sure, it gets compressed into nothing anyway.

2) More importantly: there are 2 exactly the same huge samples: Piano and PianoMash Reverse. Even if one of them is supposed to be a reversed version, there is a "play backwards" command for that purpose.

Hey Bantai, figured out all the technical stuff you brought up, Will have it up tonight.
I normally dont use Renoise as my main Daw, more for beat production and a bit of micro editing of textures and sound design. Its a different way of thinking, which is something this contest is about right?
So, Ill have it up later on. And thanks again.

Cool. There's a reversed piano now :)

Reminds me of Ulver's ambient stuff at times.

Hey, I wonder about that Swells sample. It ends abruptly, in such a way that it causes a pop. And there is no release tail. Maybe you should take a look at it.
