Thanks for info... I was wrong.Anyway, maybe you will think I'm dickhead or asshole but I don't care. This is shame! Custard's track is nice and all but it is tupah tupah dnb with some nice samples while Modlys track is THE Music. This is... I'm disappointed.

Oh please.. most of the tracks were great in their own way. One genre isn't better than the other.

Congrats Custard! You deserve the grand prize!

Sorry, but that track was dope. People have different tastes. Votes happen. Run your own contest?

Speaking of tastes, I have no idea how my track placed 6th considering it's a pile of semi-obnoxious noise with a hint of experimental clownstep (and yes, I think this is a *good* thing, but had no ideas others would). In any case, I just want to point out it was a collaboration with ARBRL and I could not have done it without him. So thank you ARBRL and props to yourself. You saved that track.

Good contest! Congrats to all. So many good tracks. That's the way the cookie crumbles.... cutter.

No need to be ironic. I didn't say it's bad. I like it. But it's not as good as Modlys's one. That's my opinion and board is a place to share peoples' opinion, don't you think?

I'm not being ironic. If you want your "opinion" to be "the results" then we have a "Music Competitions" sub forum. I encourage you to run your own contest. I think that would be cool.

2nd place out of 45, on a board with a lot of experimental breakbeat kids and chiptune artists is a monumental achievement for a popular vote.

I say congratulations to all.

Sorry, I don't entrust this results. In my opinion "5 - Moss_-_Rest_On" and some other places it top 12 it's absolutely impossible. I don't understand this and think I never understand this. But anyway congratz to Custard & Modlys.

Hey, several of my personal favorite track didn't even make it in the top, but I'm cool with that.
Congratulations to all + it was really good to hear Ron introduce the tracks.

No I'm being quite serious, I run my own contest once a year just so that me and some other judges can decide who wins based on absolutely no criteria except personal taste; well the real reason for the contest is so that likeminded people can push their creative limits and come together to have fun and make noise that they mutually appreciate. It's quite the popular contest, in fact. And best of all, no haters.

I trust the results. Some of my top are in the bottom 30. It sucks, but i'm not sour about it. This contest had styles from all different genres. Not everyone swoons for the same tunes.

Celebrate good times. Common!

The votes vary greatly. For example I just checked the votes for Moss and while the majority have it in their top 5, there are also some people who had it 41st on their list for example.

So there's bound to be disagreement for every person and song. But it's bad sportsmanship to be so childish about the results. Compared to the previous compos I wonder why the results are now so hard to accept for some individuals.

Yay! Congratulations yall!

Although I'm pretty shocked that my chillout tune got the 3rd place, for it wasn't exactly the kind of song that would show people any fancy Renoise action nor delicate composing style (and compowise any kind of mellow chilloutish stuff usually ends up beaten by any sort of fast paced action filled stuff). But naturally I'm very happy for the outcome. And while I didn't think Custard's track was the best, it really shows you how you can achieve a nice mix with native effects and simplified song structure.

So, who wins the Renoise license? I was kind of shooting for that price ;)
