Something that I used to listen to a long time ago and only recently rediscovered :-

Pete Namlook - silence        I listen to this when I'm flying ( I suffer from panic/anxiety attacks , which get triggered when flying or having feelings of being trapped or out of my control and this album has some kind of healing powers for me )

I've been checking out the music of Jlin

https://jlin.bandcamp.com/

There are some interesting sounds and rhythms going on there.

TBH it tends to strike me as a bit samey-samey after a while; I'm not hearing much musical development in the tracks, which could each be a bit shorter.

But it might be that I'm not quite picking up on some subtleties.

In any event there are some nice ideas at play.

PSB really put those monster E-MU EMULATOR and FAIRLIGHT CMI samplers to good use!

For those too young to be aware, this track and the track I posted earlier are from the albums "Please" and "Actually", both were digital recordings and considered by many in the industry as the finest digitally recorded albums of their time.  I wholeheartedly agree with that cause I have both albums on vinyl, and to this day, I've never heard better digitally produced albums than these two.  Back in the 80s, the E-MU EMULATOR and FAIRLIGHT CMI were samplers you generally only drooled over unless you were prepared to part with body organs to raise the cash to buy your own.  In fact, I believe at the time, they themselves had to borrow the FAIRLIGHT CMI that was used on their albums.

Play it loud ...

And when you take those Lo-Fi retro samplers and record them to a Hi-Fi analogue format, you turn 'crunch' into a powerful crunch ...

Anyway, that was just a little free education on 'audio' thrown in for the younger users here.

And that reminds me, I'll have to search this forum for Renoisers who release on vinyl cause I read somewhere about some even releasing on cassette!

That is just awesomeness with a capital fucking 'A' B)

Ah, sorry mate, I'm afraid the audio on this one is really bad, but Dailymotion is the only other place I can find the original.

But does it work?
