is there any freeware midi-program out there ? I want to edit some mobile-phone-ringtones and also test some softsynths … so I need a program being able to read and write mid-files.
I thought I saw a pus… err a free midi sequencer somewhere… Can’t remember where/if/which… so I did a little search.
Jazz++ is an open source midi sequencer. Might be interesting.
Ah while searching I found this one: Anvil Studio. This was the one I came across, but I have no idea what it is 
But Modplug tracker also reads and exports midifiles and can handle vsti’s (although I have no idea how, you should consult the modplug forum).
