just open a new song
start button bashing on your play transport button on your controller.
eventually all transport buttons will stop functioning.

maybe a bit far fetched, but maybe you worth mentioning.
(tested with an Akai MPK 49, maybe it's just the drivers fault)

Hey,

tested this here a bit with a Novation SL and could not break it. MMC is sysex, maybe this indeed is some driver quirk?

Can you try it in another software?

Also maybe you can capture the midi in certain programs and see if it's doing something strange.

Ok tested this (late I know) and it seems to be the fault of my USB 3.0 port.
tested on two different systems, and it didn't broke after a really sore thumb :)
