Decided to wipe the introduction to this, because not many people will have the cpu cycles to get through it and realize what these all do.
I would instead recommend checking out PakettiR3 animated GIF album athttps://imgur.com/a/JTLnZ
In fact, I’ll just post the animated GIFs here so you can see what’s happening. I’ll keep editing this original posting to allow for more understanding, but will refrain from posting the full keyboard listings. So basically what I’m now doing is… I’ve made Paketti work on Renoise 3, have tweaked some of the settings, and thanks to actual live feedback, I’m working on this daily. So, I’ll post a couple of animated GIFs per week, illustrating what the tool does, and eventually it’ll click for you and you’ll realize you want to use this tool
Joule Pattern Doubler : Copies current pattern content (4 rows of pattern because 8 rows of pattern) until 512 is reached. Cursor position is obeyed, so if you’re on row 14 (of 16) and you press Joule Pattern Doubler, you’re on row 30 (of 32). Thanks for the assist, joule!
Slice sample to 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 pieces, or un-slice. Loop is enabled by default in all slices.
Keyboard shortcut that sets pattern length to 4, 8, 16, 32, 48, 64, 96, 128, 192, 256, 384, 512. Also can be used to set phrase length to 4-8-16-32-48-64-96-128-192-256-384-512. Why no animated GIF on Phrase? Because Paketti is still a work in progress re: how Phrase Editing is taken care of. I really want to be able to create a phrase automatically, without mouseclicking.
All Native Renoise EFX now accessible as shortcuts:
