[Solved] Spectrasonics Omnisphere

Windows 7 x64 SP1 Eng Enterprise/ Renoise 2.8 reg
Fruity loops 10 works with it like a charm.
Tried to install 32bit or 64bit versions - with no effect.
In Renoise two folders of vst are set correctly:
“C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins”
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins”

What do you think?

Someone else had a somewhat similar problem with Omnisphere:

Please try to run Renoise as administrator to see if that helps.

Right click Renoise’s icon or shortcut and choose ‘Run as administrator’ from the context menu.

i saw this thread already - it doesn`t work for me.

You did try to do a “Rescan vst folders” in the Misc/plug preferences right? (i know it is a stupid question, but just to be sure, renoise does not automatically scan it after the first initial Renoise setup has been done and a plugin database exists)

Of course - 2 or 3 times:)

I am using Omnisphere 64bit with Win7 and Renoise 2.8. I had a problem with STEAM folder location because of multiple installations. Fixed that according to this http://www.proaudiosupport.com/a44431/move-omnisphere-steam-folder.html

What exactly is your problem? You don’t see Spectrasonics at all in Instrument Settings or it does not work correctly?

I can`t see omnisphere in plugins list…
ps data lib installed on separate hard-drive

Ok, is there Omnisphere.dll in your VST plugin folder? C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins\
If not, can you find it anywhere in your hard drive?

If Omnisphere.dll is there, I would try copying the file to some other folder, for example c:\vstplugins (without whitespaces) to see if it works better. I have all my plugins under one folder, and no problems with Renoise.

Last time i installed 64-bit version of Omnisphere, that is why dll located here:
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\Omnisphere

I`ve created suggested directory on drive C, copied dll there and pointed Renoise to use it exclusively. No emotions…

I really apologize for starting dead-end thread. All these weird things, that happens to my puter caused by malicious software and bunch of viruses.
After cleaning up - everything works without any mess. Sorry again!!!

No prob. We are here to help. The solution might be sometimes not that much related to DAW, but still it’s easier to find when you think about it with other users.

irrefutably
