While waiting for Redux...

not hearing any news about redux (subscribed to newsletter), im getting very curious how i could use it inside the maschine with phrases.
as i understand right it will be vst compatible with instruments i allready made with R3.0 using just renoise dsps and macros will stay as i made in renoise? :w00t:

any benefits if i allready own renoise? or it will be completely different product?
and when +/- we will could see some beta?

I believe Taktik has been on a much needed vacation, thus no redux news.

Any news? :)

“No news is good news.”

Howdy! Been quiet an aweful long time now… any updates?

Hello. No. Still busy with it, no release date set - yet.
We’ll use the mailing lists and forum for announcements as soon as there is something to show or announce.

Thanks Chief! R3 is fucking amazing - so no hurry

Checking daily for Redux news:D!!! Cant wait!

K, cool. Any good reason to hold off making more extensive xrni over this?

I think I can safely say that this time, new features will be added but none removed.

Or, put another way: everything you do with a Renoise instrument should play well in Redux

And Of Course Renoise Instruments are a good teacher for every one who needs to see what happens when change a parameter (macros)

I said in a previous post that the macros are only 8 and i will be happy when those be more…

I was totally false…

Because each parameter can be midi mapping!!!

And So…What do you need for a live setting…

Or to precast an instrument?

Also the inst. modules are so deadly sofisticada!!!

do we have to pay for redux or is it part of the renoise license?

(btw plz remove that warning point thing under my post counter - otherwise you could also use a yellow star for it )

My understanding was that you’ll get all the new features Redux brings for free as an updated version of Renoise, but the Redux plugin itself will be a separate license you’ll have to purchase.

ahh ok thx for the info!

Are we gonna have something until december 31st? Something like R3.1/Redux?

AFAIK the first Redux info will be released during mid/late January.
That will of course be announced on the mailing list, and I guess, here.

@danoise, I hope your predictions stick:-)

Thought that maybe Redux will be able to handle incoming/outgoing audio from the host. Maybe this will also make next version of Renoise feature audio routing/side chaining of plugins

Why do companies announce stuff so early, surely they must realise that it just causes complete lack of interest after a while

Announcement = Excitement

Still no news 1 = Oh well

Still no news 2 = Man this is silly

Still no news 3 = This is never going to happen

First release = Yeah meh, whatever, moved on now

Hahahaha

Why do companies announce stuff so early…

probably some unforeseen hurdles have delayed it / user feedback after the release of 3.0 have taken the devs back to the drawing board?
