Is there a quick way to automate master volume?

Hi all, sorry if this is a silly question but I was wondering if there is a fast way to automate the overall volume of different sections of a tune? I know you can just click on master volume and the automation button on the mixer, but then you have to click at different points on the automation grid and do every single pattern individually twice, (one start point, one end point.) (Ok, doesn’t sound like much, just a bit lazy I guess.) I was just wondering if there was a quick way to say patterns 1-20 are at 0db, 21-26 at -1.5db, 27-32 at 0db etc? Thanks

Don’t think so. I guess the most effective way would be just to zoom all the way out when your in automation view, saves you some time

Thanks, guess that’s the only way… Problem is that it’s quite hard to get the pointer to land on exactly the right volume level, move it a millimeter and it jumps several points of a decibel and when you change the volume by typing in a new one, it only moves that point up, not the ones across all the rest of the patterns… Ah well. Quickest way I’ve found, is to put in the points in one pattern, then copy and past them into all the patterns you want. Still time consuming, but at least it speeds it up a bit.

if it’s 1 static value you only need to have an automation point when you need the value to change, so

pattern 1: 0db

pattern 21: -1.5 db

if you want something really fancy and don’t mind the much smaller resolution, use the LFO device with a custom envelope and a reset pattern command on each pattern (an auto-resetcan also be done very simply with the formula device)
