Could the step length icon be made a toggle button please?
This would eliminate the slightly fiddly hassle of swapping between a relatively stable number and zero.

Just mentioning this in case you didn’t already know…
The default key bindings use CTRL+0, CTRL+1, CTRL+2, etc. to set the step length, so you can quickly switch between very common values this way.
There’s also a few more that you can set in the key bindings if you often work with higher values.
