Native Instruments Massive(headache)

Well, I got Massive by NI from 1.3 up to 1.5 installed BUT freakin Renoise can’t see it no matter what. I tryied to unistall and reinstall a couple times both Renoise and Massive, I 've lost half an our of my life scaning for it and I also tried thrasing the CasheVST file a-too-damn-many-times to be able to remember.
Thing is that the standalone application is running alrighty but I can’t use it inside Renoise for the god of me.

I have Renoise 3.0.0 on Windows 7 and NI Massive 1.3-1.5

I hope someone can help me somehow before I commit seppuku or intensive crying therapy in my bathtub. Thank you in advance!

UPDATE:
Ok, problem solved. My download had the problem, twice. Just a bit of ol’ bad luck. Thank you all!

You’re going to have to use the Reaktor demo player , or purchase Reaktor whatever # is up to date to use it. And then scan with renoise to find Reaktor VST and then use Massive in Reaktor(I pretty much had the same problem with Razor.)

YOU WHAT???

massive is standalone vst plugin. set your plugin folders correctly and you are on! how ever razor is not a vst plugin, it is a reaktor instrument. massive will never work into reaktor :smashed:

Ah I had assumed it was the same for Massive, my bad.(As to my reasoning, I don’t have Massive and I thought it would have been the same since NI has been weird to me.)

There is a Reaktor Ensemble called Massive, too. Its a Drum Sequencer.

But sorry i don´t use the “real” Massive VST Synth. Only FM8 and everything is working fine with renoise (2.8 and 3.0). Renoise has an excellent VST Handling compared to Ableton Live.

Yap that´s it.

Yes I did set my plugin folders correctly through Pref->Plugin/Misc on the specific folders that Massive and the dll files for both 32 and 64 bit are installed but it doesn’t show anywhere inside Renoise. So… What now?

sounds very weird. so just to be sure… you’re not only looking in the vst-effects list, but also in the instruments list, right? remember there were a user recently who also forgot about that

Maybe downloading an older version of the vst could help?

NI Massive 1.3-1.5

I have 1.4 here — the latest official version available from the NI website — and it’s working just fine on Windows 7 and Windows 8.

It seems that version 1.5 does not even exist yet, unless I’ve missed something obvious when I logged into my NI account a moment ago?

However, there are some rather interesting “unofficial” results if I search elsewhere for this version “1.3 - 1.5”.

If you are using an “unofficial” version, then it could very easily be broken, or need special hacks to get it working, or contain malware, or who knows what other crap. Better not waste your time with such things, imho.

If you do have an official version, then I’d recommend checking your NI account and service center for updates, and contact NI for further support.

Turns out I had to check 3 unofficial versions to find one to do the trick. I liked your term though :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you guys for your help!!

ooh, naughty stuff. sounds like you officially need a full virus/mal check about now. unofficial software that doesnt even work is kinda suspicious

Hey everyone,

I actually am having a similar issue to this, but I definitely bought the official version of Kontakt. Any ideas?
