Can LUA / Renoise LUA GUI display Animated GIFs?

Only BMP files are current supported, not sure how an animated GIF would treated anyway…

But animating a sequence of BMP is possible by (for example) using the “add_timer” method.

You could then schedule a number of images to be played in any order/tempo.

Thanks for your response, danoise. I guess that would get a bit heavy on the CPU + GUI. (I was hoping to illustrate what specific shortcuts do and how they are to be used, inside a script, with a GUI help window).

What a good idea!

As a substitute, I wonder how hard it would be to set up a series of images for a “clink for next step” sequence.
