If you copy a track from one pattern to another, identical naming of devices can lead into wrongly mixed automation data.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Put the same device two times in a track and name both the same, for example "filter"

2. now make a track and automate a parameter of the second "filter" in this track

3. clone the pattern, afterwards also copy the track and paste it in the new pattern.

4. Automation from second "filter" is now on first "filter" and there is no way to restore the original value of the first filter.

If naming is important for device identification, there should be also a check while pasting or renaming that prevents identical naming. Btw the bug above did not happen because I named something. Instead Renoise gave the names and leaded into the situation.

Of course better would be the usage of hidden unchangeable device ids instead the name.

Just confirming that I was able to recreate this. Thanks for reporting.
