Is there a way to merge two songs, just like the XRNI Merger? I thought i remember there was an app/ or tool for this at one point, but i think that’s a long time ago and as i haven’t heard more about it i guess it’s obsolete, but i’m asking anyway.

The xrns is a .zip, so I’d guess you can.

I think there was a PHP xrns merger, but only for 2.8 structure. Most easy is to open two renoise instances and then copy-paste the stuff. A pity that playlist selections are not copy-pastable…

If you transfer an instrument on the same number, it will work quite fast this way.

I know i can copy paste, that’s kind of what i wanted to avoid, too bad the xrns merger isn’t updated, it would have been handy. :slight_smile:

gova: Doing it manually inside the zip container would probably be a lot harder than copy/paste anyway if it was possible.

^ I checked the song.xml, doesn’t look too hard, at least if you simply want a full dump of everything you have from one song to another, routings will be a nuisance, but note instruments, single track effects chains, pattern data, not at all impossible.

Hmmm, maybe you’re right, i’ll see if i can wrap my head around it.

Yes - but maybe it’s using the XML schema and so, trivial to update?

It’s just that the project does not really have a maintainer:

I’m certain that some things work - I used it just recently to create OGG’ified versions of songs for Mutant Breaks.

Hi,

From that pack, I’ve moved the two scripts I care about to:

https://github.com/connerbw/xrns-php

One of those is Xrns_Merge and it works with 2.8. The other is Xrns_Ogg. No immediate plans to get it working for 3.0. No plans to support the deprecated GUI.
