New filters in instr.tab

are these still coming in ( the near ) future ?

reworked filters were promised somewhere here.

Woo, morefilter models that people who want ‘good’ filters will never use

yay~

unless they are on linux

yay~

Well anyone who’s anyone really, and not a walking zombie uses Linux anyway, right?

interesting. so, you are saying good filter wanters will only use vst filters anyway, so, why bother? unless, they are on linux 'cause linux has no good filter vsts, so, why bother?

it seems to be what you are saying, but i’m not trying to put words in your mouth.

it is no secret that especially the ‘analog’ renoise filters come off very early 2000’s homebrew pc dsp in style and quality, though.

Filter in instrument tab cant be replaced with vst filter, so…

taktik or anyone of the developers , don’t want to rush anything or so , but new filters are still coming right ?

Filter in instrument tab cant be replaced with vst filter, so…

So, let’s fix that and make redux instantly relevant.
Someone could make a poll on that,

if the instrument effects chains could be turned polyphonic (copied for multiple voices automatically), with the additional ability for keytracking to be synced to frequency parameters of vst effects (input curves automatically compensated, for vsts parameters hat report the resulting frequency),
would you still use the internal filters?

You get any amount of effects on every key, any set of meta devices and any set of routing for the cost of requiring processing power of half a modern vst synth.

It was said in beta that under the current design it would mean creating 119 effects chain sets for an instrument, well then, the design should be changed.

Yeah I would. When i use any vsti synth i use its filter for shaping sound and then maybe some better filter like The Drop for additional effect.
And what about envelopes and 0EXX command? What about changing this envelope via macros? What about Renoise instrument compatibility?
I would never use any substractive synth nor sampler without internal filter to be fair.

There’s also no release and sustain, plugin delays, track delays:p
The point is,integrate all of that into the instrument effects chain system, they shouldn’t be so separate.
And to hell with 3.1+ .xrni not working in 3.0 :stuck_out_tongue:

so is redux is coming with improved filters …?

So what about renoise?

please ignore my previous post,

New filter are coming

So excited
