If I add the favorite star to a doofer preset within the fx list, I later cannot remove that doofer fav from favorite section. Error message appears: "Failed to change a device favorite flag (probably because of a file I/O error)"

Maybe u have to add , then remove and again try to add or remove. Both will not work anymore.

Btw. Group support for doofer presets would help for organization.

Great find. I was experiencing the same issue but wasn't sure how it was happening.

Hi,

I guess this was related to this problem, but I after this problem appeared, I am not able to favorite another doofer anymore. I guess that works now, too. Only wanted to mention it...

For the time being, you can try to go into your renoise preferences folder and find Config.xml

on windows that would be C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Renoise\V3.0.1

and search for  '<IsFavorite>' and delete it and these around it

        <Identifier>Doofer</Identifier>
        <IsFavorite>true</IsFavorite>
        <FavoriteDisplayName>Init</FavoriteDisplayName>
        <Preset>Init</Preset>

If you loose something important, it's not my fault, ok? :P This will leave some garbage in the <!--Native Device Preferences-->, but you can just delete that altogether and renoise will make a new, empty on itself.
