woooh vertical waveforms and UI that scales up to 8K… we wantz in ze renoiiise!

Nothing new really. The new FL Studio UI looks very inconsistent to me.

whats the purpose of this feature?? Just turn your head 90 degrees using every other daw = free flstudio

would be handy in ascertaining what tracks have what playing i guess…cant think of too much else

Too bad you still can’t even view parameter values without actually moving a knob or slider, that alone makes FL Studio completely amateurish in my opinion.

i still hope some day renoise will have a dynamically updated vertical waveform display behind the pattern sequencer tracks.

it might be 30% useful and 70% aesthetics, but there can be a fun positive feedback loop in general productivity when you get rich visual feedback from actions you perform while writing music.

I guess it’s geared toward people having to compose audio tracks or make fx sounds for some preproduced video. In the vid above you probably see the backing track production scene for some nice polished fl advertisement video. Haven’t watched into though, too depressing.

Now what if the other way round? You use a video like a sample source, and mash up with sample offset and repitch commands. The audio gets to your dsp chains for manglin, plus the video is in sync with sound and sent to a beamer on that live party mixing the video frames correlated to the currently played back noise with other rad effects. No bad idea either. Seen sometimes already, be it the artsy scene or some freaky non academic artists.

I’d like to do this!
