Audio Transmission via LAN/WLAN (Mac)

hey folks,

short question: knows anybody a software/driver for osx to create something like a virtual audio interface to transmit audio data over the network (to another mac)?

background: I have one mac with an pro audio interface and I have a macbook. I want to connect the macbook’s audio to the other mac without any cable or only with a lan cable.

I know midi over lan is possible and no big deal … but audio data?

cheers, Dax

google Wormhole app

Ok this is an plugin, no device … and Wormhole seems to be really old (2007) … but I’ll give it try! Maybe it works … thanks

There is Jack and “NetJack” available for Linux and OSX. Found this site:https://ccrma.stanford.edu/software/openmixer/manual/using_netjack/netjack-under-osx

This could be also already included in the official JackOSX package (I dunno):http://www.jackosx.com

Here is a manual, seems to work:http://jack-audio.10948.n7.nabble.com/Configuring-netjack-with-OSX-and-Windows-7-success-td16807.html

Maybe you can check this out and report to us
