Recording a sample

How can i record a sample with sample recorder in logic pro x?

Go to file, then exit. Double click the renoise icon and go to sampler and press the REC button. Hit start to begin the recording

I assume you mean record a sample in the sampler? You use the record button in the sample editor tab, you must first assign a channel to the input via logic

yeah well I also don’t have an idea how to route audio input into redux in logic… It would be so epic to resample things from your project and mash them up again…

In the upper right corner of the plugin window in Logic, you should see a Side Chain option. You can use this to select another audio source that will feed into Redux, which will then be picked up by the sample recorder, line-in DSP device, and so on.

Thanks a ton dBlue!

was this on the manual or quickstart? this was driving me nuts last night… thanks your post DBLUE.

can anyone help with recording a sample live from my my in Redux when used within Reaper? Having major trouble trying to get any audio input into Redux. Audio is coming into the track in Reaper fine though!

To get audio sent to redux in reaper, simply set the audio input on the track withredux to your microphone., no change in the vst routing settings is required.

It’s not in the image, but the track must be record armed (the red button) and record monitoring (the speaker symbol under the volume knob) must be on or set to auto.

thank you very much! I had monitoring off, so that’s why it wasn’t working.

I get a nasty feedback noise in reaper when I try to record audio with redux :frowning: what’s wrong with my routing??? Help please!

I tried both external routing (via mixer) and digital internal routing too with my hammerfall spdif cable… Same risults: a terrible feedback noise added to the audio I want to sample…

Solved! I have found the “trick” . Just DISABLED record button on track with redux AND added a send to redux from the track containing the vsti I want to sample!
