[solved] OSX: Problems with Cakewalk Z3TA+ 2 AU

This seems to happen pretty much randomly. I’m using OS X 10.10.5. When I try loading a song that uses Cakewalk Z3TA+ 2 AU plugin Renoise completely hangs. I have to kill it with the activity monitor. Checking the logfile I always see:

Application: Loading ‘rhodes 5.xrns’.

MIDI: Loading MIDI actions from file ‘/Applications/Renoise_Reg.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/GlobalMidiActions.lua’…

Osc: Loading OSC actions from file ‘/Applications/Renoise_Reg.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/GlobalOscActions.lua’…

AU: Trying to open plugin:‘Cakewalk: Z3TA+ 2’ (aumu:samp:CWSY)…

AU: Instantiate FAILED (Caught fatal error)

AU: Failed to create the plugin (Error:-1)!

AU: Instantiate FAILED

This hang also happens if I just try loading the plugin in a new song in a blank instrument.

What’s very strange is if I then load up Ableton and instantiate the same AU plugin, it loads. Then when I come back to Renoise and try loading the plugin it works fine. Any ideas?

Viraj.

Actually I think the plugin version I had was buggy. I just upgraded it (2.2) and haven’t had issues so far.
