Sometimes, if I want to find the spot where a longer sample will be playing back at a certain point in the song, I’ll rapidly start and stop playback so I can see the playback cursor in the waveform view of the instrument editor. It could be useful if the playback cursor could always be displayed, or if it didn’t immediately disappear when playback stops.
