Is it possible to save a track (with edit/sample/effects) and load that track into another song? I’ve done this before with another tracker (Buzz) as a ‘template’ but looks like template has a different function in RN.

AFAIK there is no way to save a track with all the samples and dsp chain. If the problem is copying a track from one song to another, you can open two instances of renoise, then copy the track, dsp chain and instruments separately and paste into other instance.
i woudl seriously kill someone in order to be able to do this
maybe even two or three people
