datamask is a modules-only netlabel intended as a resurrection/evolution of tracker netlabel culture.
At first I was gonna say WAS a netlabel, as it appears their newest release was from 2001. But upon further inspection (and happening to know zebra personally and that he didn’t get started until later on), it appears that it was released this year.
So what’s up with the incorrect year thing? Is it intended to disorient? Because it certainly did. But it also will probably turn people off.

Arguably for sure… IMO 2001 was not a golden year at all, since Impulse Tracker didn’t work so well on Windows 2000 and XP.
I think you’ll have a lot of people say the golden years were earlier than that… IMO it was around 1993-1995
Me too actually, around those years i experimented with other DAWs like Cool Edit Pro, Reason, Cubase and other useless stuff ( :P) before i was introduced to Renoise in 2005.
