Elektron Overbridge plugins not showing up

Hi!

Oddly, Renoise didn’t show overbridge AU plugins (I am on OS X). I tried to use VST, but fatal error showed up about a crash"in VST event/function: Dispatch". Both 64 and 32 bit. Both AU and VST were working fine with other DAWs.

I’ve contacted Elektron supported and they’ve suggested to reinstall Overbridge. I did that.

Other DAWs are still fine, but now neither VST nor AU even show up in Renoise.

Other plugins show up in Renoise, mostly. For example NI Kontakt VST is also missing.

I looked at the CachedVSTs…db file, Overbridge plugins are present there. And CachedFailedVSTs is empty.

What shall I do?

Thank You!

Strange, maybe temp rename au config and try a rescan

By that you mean CachedAUs db? I tried that, did not help.

Or is there an another AU config file I don’t know about?

I get the same fatal error message with VST and attempting to use ASIO causes Renoise to freeze up. It works with DirectSound, although it obviously limits you to 2-in-2-out. I still get the error message but I just ignore it. Not ideal but I’m making do for now!

Very interesting, given you are using Windows, I am using Mac, same error. Could you perhaps raise a ticket at https://www.elektron.se/customer/tickets/ ? I’ve raised mine, but if they see there are multiple occurrences of this issue, it will help them actually solve it! Moreover, they couldn’t reproduce it so far.

Did you find any solution? I have a similar issue here with Analog Heat, the Overbridge VST doesn’t show up in the VST menu (or in the Plugin section) like all the other VSTs. No errors tho. It seems like Renoise is reading the right .dll files in the folder, but then just “ignores” them. Tried reinstalling etc. I just wouldn’t like to change the DAW.
