New to the forum, so “hi”.
I recently made a remix of Death Grips’ “Beware”:https://soundcloud.com/utterlychop/death-grips-beware-remix
The bass sample comes from Lorn’s tune “Ghosst(s)” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzzrzGyKo6g), though it’s not really recognisable.
The idea was to use the lowest bass frequencies I could, use drums and vocals to flesh out the mids, and have some super-high synths to add some colour and flair, all whilst keeping the mix intelligible and clear.
Just a little experiment but I’m pretty happy with the outcome – though I think it could benefit from some more dynamics in terms of volume and effect automation.
Anyway, if you have a minute to give it a listen I’d really appreciate it – and also to share any feedback/constructive criticism.
