Guilty Pleasure

More weird music. What can i say?

Ahh, so, this is well outside the type of music I usually listen to, but I REALLY like it, particularly the first few sections (I.e., up through around 2:29). It’s something that makes me want to get up and dance (which, I suppose, is the point, yeah?) and that’s saying quite a bit (because I tend to NEVER dance). As always, very clean/cogent sounds and really like the use of clear sectioning in the track (i.e., it never gets old - even though I like the later sections less, I still really appreciate that the track is always evolving).

Oh, also, again, particularly in the first portion, I . . .mmm. . . I_feel_ something - so often with dance-y music I find that it seems a little cold, and I didn’t feel that way here. Awesome!

Side note: Soundcloud algorithm failure alert. This is the next track that came on after this one as a “related track.”. W.T.F.

I felt a very strong demoscene vibe from the first seconds on, and wasn’t disappointed with it as the track went on. If it was just a tiny bit more cinematic with more changes in song temper it could be the track for a very shiny colorful demo.

Same here, it’s far from what i comfortably can say i like, but i had fun making it and i already knew where it was heading quite early. It’s not really the type of track i put my soul into though.

My idea when i started this was completely different from what i ended up with, but that is usually how i work. I don’t like to dance and i don’t like the typical dance music, but if someone wants to dance to my music i guess that’s a bonus.

I don’t really know what kind of genre to put this into, but demo music doesn’t sound wrong.

I could have gone a bit more in depth with the transitions and such, i thought about adding some white noise stuff in there to give it a bit more depth, but i didn’t feel like putting too much work in it and i also started getting CPU problems making it difficult to complete it.

All in all, not a track i will promote as one of my better, but i’m not disappointed with the result. It’s a variation from the type of music i want to focus on and purely made for the fun of it.
