Hello dearest readers!

I have a suggestion for Renoise:

Bypass/Activate (complete) Device Chain

from the right-click menu on the effect lane with effect devices.

Here is an image:

Renoise_3.2_suggestion_-_complete_device_chain_bypass+activate_-_menu_option.jpg

This menu item may need to be added to the instrument section effect device lanes as well...

The result would be, that all effect devices on a effect lane are Disabled/Enabled with a single click.

For now, at least there is a tool that does this. (Via keyboard shortcuts)

Just thinking out loud...What happens if I wanted to write a tool that enables/disables the DSP devices, but preserves what devices on the track were disabled in the first place.  So when I execute 'enable' it doesn't enable the devices that were disabled.  How much does that complicate the tool?

It's relatively simple keeping track of that per session. And if you want to save the states in the actual song (so it works even if reloading the song), you'd have to complicate matters slightly by for example tagging the state in each DSP name.

Just a matter of tounge in cheek to do everything properly.

Just talking 'per session' (but I notice you use the word 'relatively' in italics Joule :) )  To be honest I'm obviously not saying it isn't possible to do.  Or even to simplify it to a point where it only considers one track at a time, as soon as the user uses the tool on another track (or adds/deletes devices on the track) it 'forgets' any cleverness.  Personally I'm lazy Joule, that's probably what nonsense I'd write :D

Hello dearest readers!

I have a suggestion for Renoise:

Bypass/Activate (complete) Device Chain

This menu item may need to be added to the instrument section effect device lanes as well...

The result would be, that all effect devices on a effect lane are Disabled/Enabled with a single click.

I have included the same in my GT16-Colors tool (next beta). However, I used 2 buttons: "Bypass" and "All On" (is a floating window). No matter the state of each device, the function iterate in all of them. On the other hand, adding the option drop-down menu would be simple.

I also think this should be native (little missing things).

I would prefer "Render without chain" instead.

Since, sometimes or most times I have "parking" devices in the chain...
