Vocoding in renoise on linux

hi,

is it possible to create a vocoder in renoise on linux? I know it’s possible vto use vocoding VSTs in renoise but I can’t find any that run on linux.

LoL: http://forum.renoise.com/index.php/topic/49368-instruments-oopsvocoder/ - built with renoise native effects.

I know two free vocoder VSTs on linux. One (or rather two) are in the mda vst collection, those are very plain, the “talkbox” has more of a cleaner sound. The other is the “TAL Vocoder”, which aims for simple analog style, I don’t like it so much. Nothing complex like vocodex available though.

If you find another vocoder VST, you have to make sure they work with left/right routing for carrier/modulator. Renoise doesn’t support stereo sidechaning yet. You would then hard pan the signals you feed into the send with the vocoder. If you need stereo vocoding, you would need two plugins running in parallel.

So there is no 64 bit linux vocoder? Bummer. Or maybe I don’t understand how things work and we may compile the open source code in 64 bit.
Oops vocoder is cool though. It’s an instrument so a bit limiting but what it does it does really well.
