Type-A Tutorials

Hi guys im starting this topic for people in the forum to discuss my video tutorials for Renoise

but also i like because i know there are other people in the community making tutorials for Renoise

to put their links in this thread.

this is the latest video i uploaded its been a while now but im working on nu Stuff

and this are the links to channels about Renoise that I know

my videos are directed for people completely nu to Renoise but some advanced Users have seen value in some of my videos and also in little project takes ive post on facebook … so if you want to support this stuff I’m doing…subscribe to my channel

Nice video . I think you need to add my Soundwave sculpting technique to your arsenal . Its more complicated " Heavy sounds results " :stuck_out_tongue:

Cheers !

really glad you like it man, like your video too, actually ive never thought on layering single cycle waveforms and assigning them to different envelopes… maybe because they are really short and you are getting like the strong presence on only one of them

the thing I try if I want to make a transition about 3 o more waveforms its the stepper technique in which you assign the reset parameter to a macro for all of the waveforms involve each one running in a different modulation set with a stepper device

the end result sounds like a short transition of a wavetable synthesizer …and I say short …because repeating the process for like 5 or more waveforms would be tedious for me…

but ill keep your stuff in mind and see if I can bring…my own take on your technique…

right now I’m focusing on creative fx use, for getting nu sounds or simply to replicate sounds that were made in a much more complex or fancy way…like the dubstep and neuro sounds you hear in today’s production…

I suppose with the single-cycle stuff its always possible to use custom-wave-synth or morph-synth to render one single cycle sample per key across the whole range that will be used on the keyboard…to avoid the fartiness of a slowed down single cycle in the lower keys and aliasing of sped up ones in the higher keys…but I think I read somewhere if you set ‘no interpolation’ its better for single cycles.

The whole single cycle thing is so nice for renoise users who have an older laptop or netbook, keeps the cpu and ram use down.

that’s why my latest sounds are originally from any vst source I’m using the plugin grabber a lot specially because I like to set some internal modulation to get some change in the waveform overtime and also to get rid of the initial static saw waveform sound .

awesome tutorials. they get straight to the point. I like the neuro bass sound

thanks man glad you like the video stay. close tomorrow I’m going to upload some nu sounds in the forum downloads with a detail description on how I accomplish them

I’m working my way through a complete track…so I have more material for future tutorials…

heres the link of a nu neuro bass sound design i just did…and is available in the forum downloads
