External midi keyboard - freezes & low sound

I have two problems with my external midi keyboard:

  1. It connects fine and everything works, but after what seems like a random time it just stops responding. It’s like it’s freezing up. I have to disconnect and reconnect for it to work again, but only for another while until it freezes up again. Apparently this happens when I have the Wacom tablet connected to the computer at the same time. Once I remove it everything works without any problems.

  2. When I play on the midi keyboard I have to literally punch the keys in order to get enough loud sound (sample and VST/AU). Is there a setting or something I can to make it more sensitive?

External keyboard: M-Audio Keystation 49e

Computer: Mac OS El Capitan

Renoise 3.1.0

Anyone?

There’s currently no way to change the MIDI velocity curve within Renoise itself.

That’s something that you’ll need to adjust on your hardware (if possible), or perhaps using some kind of third party MIDI driver/utility.

However, you can disable the velocity response completely if you simply want to jam a few basic notes.
