How do I use VSTs in Renoise

Hi all,

I need help on trying to install Redux VST on my Windows 10 Pro 64bit OS. I don’t know where to install the dll. I have Renoise 3.1.0 64bit installed and it runs flawlessly without any problems. I just want to try out Redux, because I may want to register that too. Please anyone help. Where exactly do I install this or any VST on my windows 10 PC.

PC Specs

i7 4790k CPU

Z87 MSI Mpower Motherboard

32gig Ram

512 Crucial SSD {Where I installed OS}

2 tb Segate Barracuda HD {Storage}

Creative Soundblaster Z sound card.

XFX Amd Radeon R9 390x 8 gig GPU

You can place the .dll anywhere, but you may want to keep them all in one place.

Once that is done, you’ll want to set in Renoise where your plugins are. Go to Edit (in the upper left corner), then click on Preferences. In the menu that opens, click on Plugins. From there you can set the location of your plugins. (After that, you should preferably rescan so the program can detect your plugins.)

From there, you can use your plugins in Renoise. Look in the mid upper-right part of your screen for the label “No plugin loaded”. Click that, and you should see Redux and any other VST you may have.

I hope this helps!

EDIT: I delete my post.

My answer was more or less the same as what Frigatedate said :wink:

Thank you for your help. I was really lost. Thanks again
