I haven’t used Ableton in a long time really, but one of the things I like about it is saving clip files (.alc). It’s when you drag a clip from the project into your library… it saves the instrument settings and midi (and track settings I believe) – but most importantly, you can preview the clip by clicking on it. Is that possible with Renoise? I don’t think so, but I just want to check. I know you can save an .xrni which has the instrument settings + any phrases involved. But there’s no simple way to preview it without loading the instrument into a slot and playing it, is there?
