Helpful reference. Thank you.

No worries

Interesting info. Thanks!

Another simple option, take a minor 11th chord and keep transposing by one, to get the tuning pattern to the fret number of choice. Use a MOD function to cycle the values once 12 is reached.

This is still easy, but for chord shapes and playable ranges, that is when it gets a little tricky. BiAB has a very nice Chord Melody visualizer that really gives the optimised visuals for chord inversions especially for jazz styles. The UI sucks but the logic programming is good though. These guys have invested a lot of years behind this, not a short term dev project.

Another thing to consider in code is alternate guitar tunings. DADGAD and DADGBE are common in Celtic and country.
Scale shapes and scale positions depending on the fret number and string are another thing to consider if we truly implement guitars as well.

I’ll put some standard tuning guitar chords to renoise chords charts up once I work through them.

I might do a capo on the fifth fret type chart (ADGCEA).

I’m not going to do slide guitar tunings and stuff, just because I dont play slide (or lapsteel, whatever you want call it)…

all the chords and scales are completely different.

Thanks Garret Wang !!
