Dear Sirs

I've just bought Scarlett 6i6 Sound Card by Focusrite, after updating Windows 7 x64 - drivers finally started to work!

But when I set input in Renoise to ASIO (or any other), hit PLAY and start moving mouse over the screen - I can clearly hear annoying CLICKS / PLOPS etc (like distortion over graphics card).

I have really good setup but I can`t manage Renoise to work without clicks even after 10 days of test...

Please take a look at this image (attached) or from my DropBox:

Here is User Guide PDF:

I don`t want to install anything than Win7x64 as I will lose too much VST instruments...

Any help?

Have you tried other DAWs to see if it still happens? Do you use balanced lines? USB cables with two ferrit cores? Plugged the speakers into another power sockets in your room? That graphics card noise goes away by pure luck sometimes.

i had same problem a while ago with my ur22 and a asus motherboard, i turned off automatic overclocking, and everything went smooth as it should.

try set bigger buffer size with your asio, but i personally think with good pc asio buffer is not an issue with renoise.

also try to turn off multicore support in renoise and run it with 1 cpu core.

It's USB!!!   No wonder.... ok, ok, maybe try another port and watch if it has an own hub. Try usb3 port instead. Change USB settings in bios, like intel fancy mode.

I have really good setup (...)

Is it a laptop? If so, try to temporarily disconnect your power adapter to see if that helps.

If the noise disappears when running on battery power, then it could be a ground loop issue.

Seems to be quite a common problem...

Thank you, guys, for helping me. Nope, it's not laptop (did`t try on it yet) but in next 2 days a friend of mine will come to try to fix me this problem. You won`t believe - any drivers would not work without updating Windows7 (he tried everything).

I THINK what it might be a problem, but - there is, for example - no "RECORD WHAT YOU HEAR" (for example - you want to "steal" someone's water effect - hit play on Youtube, hit record on WaveLab and record what your PC is playing. Guys from Scarlett wrote me in support that - in order to do such effect - I will have to put OUTPUT to INPUT and this way I will be able to "record what I hear". Maybe this cable is causing interference.

Anyway - until I try to solve this, here is one image of my home setup:

Problem SOLVED!

This is how my friend solved cracking noise problems!

1) Updated BIOS

2) Reboot :)

DONE! IT WORKS!!!
