Hi,

I would like to sample a workstation synth which synthesis is based on samples. I want to sample it's raw waveforms in multiple octaves. But also the best presets, with and without fx section, to mangle it in a granular vst later.

So I am looking for a software which helps in such a workflow. Renoise also has some basic tools here, but the possibilities in the sample editor and the workflow seem to be too limited to me.

Do you have a suggestion for me which software is good for such a task?

There is the autosampler plugin in Apple DAWs, maybe I'll give it a try.  But I am also looking for the right audio format. Is SFZ the way to go here?

Thanks for ideas!

your compiler

did that with the juno ds, using windows (guess you're on mac). copy and paste code for recording wav files, open midi out, send midi, record file, etc. it takes an hour or two to create the program.

out of interest, what synth do you record?

i believe this guy on ebay uses a software for it http://www.ebay.de/i...S-/251261167877 i bought a few of these once and all had a name of a software in the .wav file names, but i can't remember the name.

edit: remembered it, they were named "TrueNotes_etc" so it was just his company name
