Not sure what I am missing but... Is there a way to prevent the waveform view from changing from the entire sample view to the slice view each time it's triggered?  So for example let's say I have a 4 bar beat.  I want to slice up the individual beats.  I slice.  I then press the corresponding keyboard key and the waveform changes to the sliced individual beat.  I don't want that.  I want it to stay showing the entire 4 bar beat view, but highlight in that window which beat I have triggered to play.  Is this possible? Does what I am saying make sense?

Noticed this topic and I have a related question:

Is there a way to assign a keyboard shortcut for this button?

It's impossible to assign a shortcut for it via Preferences, but maybe there is a some kind of workaround for this? A scripted tool?

It looks like it was missed by the devs. it should be added to the keyboad shortcut list. As far as i can see, this option cannot be changed via API.
