Using a Subpac S2 on a desktop

Earlier on in the year I bought a SubPac S2 . Its great to get extra feel of music when listening or making but I found the wires annoying and the pac uncomfortable on my back. I had originally hacked it into the back of a mesh Ikea chair but found I wasnt using it that often.

Recently I did some experimentation to see if I could use it on the desktop and it turned out great! You feel the bass while your hands are on the desk and if you want to check eg. a kick directly on the subpac it`s still in reaching distance.

Starting to I wish I had, had it years ago… so just passing on the tip if anyone else has one or is interested.

It seems to work best facing down,. raised a bit off the desk (a couple of sellotape/ duct tapes rolls do the job here) – excuse the Bitwigs

I got one but I use it less than I thought I would.

Try it on the desktop, you might be pleasantly surprised

I use the Lofelt Basslet. Honestly, its the best experience from all the others I’ve tried. It’s far from clumsy and charges fairly quickly. It’s super nice on the go and provides an excellent sub reference when nice headphones/speakers are not readily available.

Yeah I saw those before, they certainly look like handy little devices!

For permanent setup Im more keen on not having to wear/ charge stuff up as I know in the end that I get bored with the hassle and dont bother enough…happened with the S2 which now on the desk doesn`t require any of that. Could be useful as a secondary device here though…

Other things I spotted when looking at these bass transducer gadgets are the enersquare. Expensive and aimed more at bass guitarists for the feet:

Also maybe doing a home-brew desk version with a Bass Shaker + amp
