Question For the genius that Is...DBlue

Hi there you know in your demo song on Renoise (Which I listen to regularly BTW) How did you manage to Separate and organize all the patterns in the Left hand Pattern matrix ?

It’s really well managed and I’d like to get better at arranging this way if you could be so kind as to offer a helping hand …a virtual online one that is?

How did you manage to Separate and organize all the patterns in the Left hand Pattern matrix ?

Are you referring to the different named sections like “Intro 1”, “Main 2”, etc?

If so, you can insert those sections using this button in the Pattern Sequencer:

If you meant something else then just try to give a bit more detail and I’ll see if I can explain it.

You can also name each pattern if you enlarge the pattern sequencer pane:

Ah Perfect guys thanks so much!

Hi guys was wondering you know if you have made a section in the pattern matrix say called 'verse 1 ’ can you loop that entire section only even if its made of say 8 blocks ?

can you loop that entire section

You can loop a range of patterns like so:

You can either click the first pattern then shift-click the last pattern, or click and drag through a range of patterns, or click the toggle beside the section name to select that whole section, etc.

Just play around, you’ll get the hang of it

Thanks again DBlue … the God of Renoise

HI so say you have an idea going but you wants to swap the sample - but you have say 64 blocks of it all with variations - how can you select the entire track to swap the sample from the advanced editor ?

You mean swapping the instrument number? Then select “track in song” in the upper right of adv. edit and then use this section below:http://tutorials.renoise.com/wiki/Advanced_Edit#Modifying_Instruments
