Hi everyone,

I'm trying to record a piano performance using a MIDI controller. I'm using Live Recording and have the Pattern Follow turned on but Note-Off events are not recorded. I checked the MIDI Monitor and Note-Off events are detected by Renoise.

The manual says: "When recording live, this is automatically entered into the Pattern Editor as the note is released."

Am I missing something? Thanks!

Check Renoise preferences > MIDI.

You can filter out some messages there, including note-offs. Perhaps you have enabled this at some point?

I found out what it was! I was doing my tests by configuring MIDI on an empty instrument. But I tried with a VST configured and now Note-Offs are recorded.

Thanks!
