How to prevent routed audio to go through?

Hi, I’d like to use Neutron’s external sidechain option on my track. It could be an elegant go-to solution for every possible sidechain scenario, only if I could mute the incoming audio, or prevent it to go on the channel’s output.

Example:

I have a drum channel and in the instrument’s Sample FX editor I have set up audio routing for the bass drum. It goes through on its own track but its also sent to another FX chain that outputs to another channel I wish to sidechain. There the Neutron picks up the incoming audio and ducks the channels audio as desired. The problem is, the incoming bass drum audio still passes through, actually bypasses to the output, which is of course undesired.

Am I missing something or is there no way to prevent this behavior?

Thanks in advance, any help will be much appreciated.
