i’m thinking of putting out a small library mostly containing things about my sound design (kinda like an artist pack) but …in order to make a cool pack im asking if some of you guys want to collaborate doing Renoise sample based instruments with me !!!
-neuro bass sounds
-pad sounds
-ambient stuff (atmosphere&drones)
How would u go about this…like where should the soundsource come from?
Bro well …i think…if you already have instruments that you want to share !!! And they come from single cycle waveforms or rendered version of vst’s that you own or a mashup ?

Thats what I thought; like everything is possible & allowed then…me might wanna add in to the #pad section then. Yet I am also pretty drained out by the Anti - Movement against my contributions to this forums…we will see; #creativity rulez

my orginal idea was to create a library with ready to play instruments with macro mapping and phrases
but this is time consuming and the sound design from one artist to the other its going to be very diverse (not that this is a bad thing)
ok so my idea now
i commented this to #midi error
the best way to contribute its like creating a samplepack and put individual one shots or instruments into a categorized folder
for instance
i have
-one shot bass sounds
-granular bass sounds
-synth one shots
-drums
you dont have to make sounds for each category …just share the ones you like
there are a few people now on board with this .i think this is going to be of value for the community

But then you should organize this a lot better, for instance providing a bunch of general categories/directory structure, in which people should place their samples. Then some general rules, like instrument dsp allowed or not. Someone actually has to do work, too.
I don’t think lot of people are interested in some random, unorganized library though. Also a library should contains lots of presets, not 20 only.

yeah i understand !! luckily midi error has experience on the topic and maybe he can help me organize the samples
but the initial idea was to create a library like you describe with complex instruments with macro mappings and phrases …“but this is hardwork”
so my current idea similar to the trending artist sample packs of splice
is that if you have some sounds that you want to share group them in a renoise instruments can be one shot or loops
for instance
i sent my instruments to #midierror following a category of
bass
synths
pads&ambience
i’m also working on drumkits
maybe other producer can fill the gap and add glitch percussion or pluck sounds or they can simply add more “bass sounds”
its up to the people which sounds they want to share

I would like to, but I don’t have any Renoise instrument presets, since I mostly use VST. Also I find the heavy usage of FX within a preset not that good, but ok, Renoise synthesis still is quite limited. But I would like to do some chipsound Renoise instruments soon, it’s an idea that puzzles my mind for some decade now 
I volunteer to contribute something, anything specific you’d like me to do?
