Made with the sounds of the Commodore 64 home computer.

I think its long overdue that I do an Australian song so here's a classic for you. Every time I listen to this song I become 1% more Australian.

I really like this song, one of my favorite 80s pop hits. Nice take on the chiptune version, great sounds and vocals. I don't like the bass and rythms as much, lacks the groove of the original song. The bass is way too pronounced in the mix, instead of driving the song and complimenting the mix, it overwhelms it.

I imagine it's not the easiest song to pull off, so either way you did a good job.

Hey thanks. Always happy to get feedback. I've been struggling with the levels of my mixes for sure. I do all the usual things such as playing back via various speaker configs from mobile phone, stereo systems and car audio and the like to see how it sounds in each on of those environments. But my studio speakers have been a set of Logitech Z632's and admittedly they aren't what I should be using for audio production. So you've given me the straw to break the camels back, today I bought a set of Mackie CR4 Studio reference speakers.

I've been playing around with the CR4's all afternoon and now I can hear all the subtle nuances and obvious (un)balances in my music. It will be interesting how this helps my mix going forward.
