I am planning to start a blog or more like somekind of Rægæ System storymode. And I was wondering how to proceed with all the 2D and 3D art and all of a sudden there is so much good news…
3D news
Blender foundation is developing Blender 2.8 with great speed, and greatest news for me is the project called Armory game engine that reached its Patreon campaign goal, and is now working to release it free and open source. Why this is so good news is that Armory is integrated inside Blender, and even better, Blender foundation have granted funding to develop new kind of game engine called real-time interactive mode. I think that this is brilliant because then you kinda model and work already inside the setup that can be the outcome, I mean there is no need to switch so distinctly between game engine and editor/viewport. And you can export games to mobile and html (and consoles even), that is good news for my slowly progressing web page attempt, that used to have über3D graphics. And even more super news, Blender foundation is planning to officially support external game engine integration (Godot, Armory, Blend4Web, Unreal, Unity, etc). Now I also got motivation to continue my study on howto control Blender visuals with Renoise.
2D news
Recently I have been scanning images and doin image manipulation. To help came the new version of Gimp. Havent tested it really yet but it looks promising. It represents six years of work.
